Coding For Kids Now at BFH!

GAME DEVELOPMENT / BEGINNER-INTERMEDIATE
Grades 2-5

$159 / 8-week session

This course introduces kids to computer programming through the fun and excitement of building video games. Working in Scratch, a drag-and-drop programming tool, students will create everything from animations to multi-level games. Beginner Students will learn the core concepts of programming a game, such as loops, conditionals, and variables. Intermediate Students will level-up to more complex concepts, like nested conditionals and functions with parameters. Projects are updated each session, so returning students will have new challenges to work through and advance their creativity and knowledge to the next level.

  • Move to traditional calendar in 2019-20 school year

    ​Starting in the 2019-20 school year, Aspen Crossing, Black Forest Hills, Buffalo Trail, Coyote Hills, Creekside, Dakota Valley and Mountain Vista elementary schools will move to a traditional calendar. This change is part of a larger effort to get all schools within the Cherry Creek School District on a unified calendar, a move that will help us better support students and families. Please see the 2019-20 calendar here.
